Arrow LS1s:1 Buicks: 0

Man, those LS1s are fast. At least I kept up with him for a while. A buddy of mine who is more experienced with Turbo Buicks was helping me work on my car. He has a 01 Z28 (I think). Anyway, we get done puttin a 160 stat in my car. Turbo Sixes are a PITA to work on. and we line up. I had no time to build boost, and the light went green. I punched it and went a little sideways. He did the same and broke loose. I kept up through first and second, but he drove away from me in thrid. It was cool, and he's a good guy. I have a lot to do to my T-Type. It happened a while back, but thought I'd share. I'm also a new owner of a 86 T-Type.

Yeah, those things are bada$$. Half the parts for my car are not even on it yet. I gotta do the spring cleaning, put my pump injectors and chip in, get a posi, and everything else basically. Let the money pit begin.

Nice T-Type. I've always liked those cars.

Is that LS1 stock?
You should be running low-mid 12's with the mods in your sig, and not be getting beat by even mildly modded LS1's. With a RT340 pump w/hotwire kit, testpipe, AFPR, adjustable wastegate and free mods (TB bypass, airbox base lid mod, etc.) on a set of 235/60-15 DR's I was going consistent 12.7-.8's at 105-106mph. Don't forget a boost gauge and Scanmaster, but that was it...stock DP, stock catback, stock turbo, injectors, TB, IC, etc., etc.
A DP and catback should easily get you another .3-.4.
Get some good gas, a race chip and go back for more. Check out the turbo Buick boards for more info on these cars.
You race at Atco?

Yeah, it is. I think all it has is a filter, maybe an airlid. I have all the parts I need but have no experience working on these cars. I'm still learning how to control the thing. I am getting there, one part at a time. And the guy I raced is helping me with the car. I'll get there. I've never been to Atco.

Yeah, I know. I Just got my car and went a little crazy buying up parts. Now I need to install them and get the car running properly. I turned my boost down so I wouldnt blow up a $4K motor.

LeadSled1, I live three minutes from the Rt. 71 & Rt. 72 intersection.

LOL, I used to live in Rolling Meadows right there. I'm right off of Salem Church rd (Porter rd/71). Small world. Hopefully I will see you around sometime.
