Killed a Harley

Raced a QC Harley on H2 tonight. Got him by 1 truck length before backing off. I was at 95 ready for the damn rev limiter to kick in. He passed after that doing his Ford flyby routine. We both were going sixty, he revved, I jumped and I didn't look back until 95.

Sorry, but I can't say I believe this. Harleys are slow, but they aren't 15 second vehicles like your Ram is.

Like I said, we were going 55-60 when we started running. He must have been in neutral because he was revving at me. I took it to mean he was challenging me and dropped into second. By the time I hit 95, I started backing off and he did the flyby. BTW, I have friends whose QC Hemis are running 15.1-15.3 in crappy Hawaii air.

The 2001 and ealier Harley f-150s were not supercharged. They ran mid 15s in the 1/4mile stock,so they should be pretty close, but anything can hppen on the street.

First off, this post is very deciving. At least for those of us not down with the truck lingo (I'm assuming "QC" means "Quad Cab"). I read through the whole post thinking Harley with TWO wheels originally.

If it was a SC'd truck you raced, then I'd say I have a hard time believing you won. I ran one with my Alty and he beat me by about a truck. I haven't ran my car yet, but I feel sure that it will end up mid-high 14s. I think the H-F150s are capable of AT LEAST mid 14s.

Only Dodge I've ever seen at the track was a '97 SS/T that my friend drove to a 16.teen pass. I wouldn't give the new "Hemi's" any more than a mid-high 15s.

Those HD trucks are not pigs as some think.

Easy mid 14's and I bet your truck at sea level would be working hard to get into the 14's.

But on the street, anything can happen.

He beat'em with the Matrix. Those Harleys should go back to popping corn out of the exhausts.

LOL, you were talking about a Harley F-150? It must have been an N/A one because a supercharged one would have dusted you easily.
