Kill and Killed

On my way home from pool league tonight I pull along side a Sub WRX who is cruising about 50... I do the same.. He doesn't seem to want to go, so I kinda let off and brush it off. Then I hear him hit and and he tries to take off, he didn't get a half car length and I punched it, pulled him in before he got 3/4 car length, then past and put 4 cars at about 90, then we shutdown..

Clearly beat him, and he got the jump...

Pulled next to him at the light, and I asked if he was on it.. He said yeah man, and threw his arms up and said "American Muscle" conceding to my win...

I said, well lets try from a dig.. Light turns green and I spin a little, but not much... He put about 2 cars on me before I started to real him in, but then traffic forced the shutdown at about 50...

So, why did I lose the second run? Was it my spinning off the launch, or do they just get the holeshot better??

Oh well, he was cool with my win, I'm cool with his.. Just wish I would have nailed both...

Re: Kill and Killed

So I shouldn't feel to bad???

I need to get some more hookup..I was wanting to invest some in th engine first, but I dont think it helps if I have no tract..

His car was sharp looking too. I like the people in general who have the WRX's.. At least down here they are not to often riced out... Strong cars...

Since I am just getting back into the car world I dunno.. Are those things boosted?

Re: Kill and Killed

Yea they are turbo AWD cars. If it was just a regular wrx they run in the 14.2-14.5 range stock I believe. But if you spin off the launch that is the one thing those regular wrx's have is the launch that makes their 1/4 good.

Re: Kill and Killed

yup AWD. thats why he pulled on you off the line. but what good is that AWD if your already going 50-60 mph. better traction and your spanking those left and right. but yeah those STI are hott. but my buddy has a WRX and it seems slow as hell..lol..

Re: Kill and Killed

All in all I was pretty happy... The ease at which I passed him from the roll was just silly.. And from a dig after he put a few cars I started to pull him back in.. If we had enough road to hit at least 80 I think I would have passed him again...

It was fun either way, the only other car I have raced so far was a kid in a Civic Si, and that was a total laugh..

Re: Kill and Killed

The gmmg is the best sounding exhaust I've heard. Without a doubt.. At idle and cruise it is pretty tame, but at WOT it sounds like nascar!!

Yeah, WingHouse should be on.. I will give Brian a yell tomorrow to make sure..
