Ok, one of my friends at school finally got his 95, i think its a 95, miata out of the shop.

This kid has alot of money into it because daddy hooked him up , From what i know he has, Turbo, Miata-Link ECU, new heads new bottom end, pistons, rods, the whole cake, Flyin' Miata exhaust, and all that

His car is supposed to have about 240 something to the wheels, He wants to race me, every F'n import here wants to race me.


But anyways, i think im gonna get rocked, what kind of numbers do you think he can run,

Thats what i know he has on the car, if i missed something, then just ask

Assuming he does have 240 hp to the tires from the mods mentioned above. You have an A4 with probably 2.73 gears right?
If you have no more mods than what is bieng shown in your sig then you are going to lose bad in the 1/8th mile. You can make up a little ground in the 1/4 , but he weighs alot less so the advantage is still his.

Just my opinion.

If he's making 240 at the wheels he should go very low 13s/high 12s if he can drive it. You're going to get worked alright

 

Yes a car that small is no joke with that type of power. You = losing unless you go buy a 150 shot LT1s love the bottle.

 

Thanks dudes, he can do wheelies in his stock jeep wrangler so i think he can drive stick pretty well

But he put an assload of money into that thing, and he is only running high 12's?

 

It's not a drag car. A Miata at that power level would beat a Z06 on a road course like Gingerman. Hell, they run wicked corner speed stock, with decent power at that weight it'd be hell to keep up with.

This kid doesn't know much about modding, He just gave them like 20K and said make this have lots of HP

I think he just recently broke the tranny as soon as he got it out of the shop

all the money is in the motor, nothing else, no backend, apparently new tranny now

no new shocks yet

I know it sounds unbelievable but its true, he has a stock motor with bigger tires and a lift


he pulls away from a turn(from a stop), and can pull one of his front wheels off the ground, I ono how he does it

Ah, the truth comes out. You said stock. It is not stock. You said wheelie. It is not a wheelie. The definition of a wheelie is pulling both front tires off the ground when accelerating in a STRAIGHT line. He is merely beginning to "roll" his Wrangler by taking a turn too fast. Busted.
