It might not be this guys fault..........When i test drove a WRX the salesguy made me think that they were THE BEST CARS EVER MADE!!! They plug that info into your head until you believe it. I was with my brother when i went but as soon as my brother drove a camaro..................he knew where the power was....

It's definitly the guy's fault if he fell for it. Salesmen are trained to feed any line of BS to the customer to get them to buy a car. ANYONE who goes to purchase a new vehicle without researching it themselves first is a total sucker, in my eyes. I think most car salesmen are total scum as well, but we'll save that for another time.

Case in point, recently a guy made a post on DSMTalk about his new 2003 Eclipse GTS... he was raving on how he thought it was extremely fast and estimated that it probably ran low 13's. Boy did he get a wake up call when everyone brought him back to reality that he had a 15 second car... he said that the salesguy had told him that the GTS was faster than the newer Camaro Z28s. Anyone who is suckered into believing their 200hp sport-economy car is faster than a 325hp muscle car shouldn't be allowed to buy a performance car to begin with.

 

Yea, some guy I know has has a bone stock sti. He didn't know how to launch the awd so at the track he ran a 14.6 or so I forget. I thought that was very unrespectable for that car. It should be in mid 13's on a bad day. Good luck.

 

If he's that confident I bet he's sprayin......even so you'll wax em.

 

Go from a roll, not a digg. You could blow the launch and he wont with AWD. Go from a 20 roll and collect your money.

 

If he isn't used to the awd he could easily blow the launch. If he doesn't half clutch it then it will go all the way down to 1000rpm's and start there off the launch.

 

My bet is that this guy is hiding something, telling that guy all those mods, and him upping it another 100 bucks? Sounds like hes got some serious mojo under the hood, or a lot of money...but if hes got 200 bucks to burn .....then hes probly got some stuff under the hood!

 

He probably just thinks his car is god. Just race him and prove him wrong. His car is a fast car that would beat me easy but with the mods you have he shouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't race him from a roll because thats just not really fair for him. Besides you guys are going up to 125mph.

 

The only feasable and economic way I can see him winning if is he is spraying.

The spray does somthing funky to Turbocharged cars a 50 shot on a BPU WRX puts them at around 12 flat. It has somthing to do with the NOS shot PLUS the supercooling effect that it has on the already compressed air charge. That makes a 50 shot more like a 100 shot on a turboed car.

If he has money then $3000 into a large turbo setup could net him an 11 sec car.

Who knows my guess is he's talking out of his ***.

 

Suburus are damn ugly and should be killed. If there is doubt, you should challenge it to a 2 part contest.
