i got sprayed!

ok... i'm at rockingham dragway and line up against a nice looking, stock sounding hugger orange '99 ss and i'm thinking to myself, "this should be a good run". we launch and we are door to door till he hits second (6spd) and begins to pull pretty good. when he grabs third he begins to walk me BAD. i'm like and waving bye-bye.

the result was his 12.395@118.65 to my 13.096@108.54. come to find out that he was sporting a 125 hp wet shot.

yep... i moved back to my home town in july. i must say that i suffered major culture shock for a few weeks. not that either are a bad place to live, they are just very, very different.

as for the injectors- i needed bigger ones and got a really good deal on these. even with my small amount of mods the car was running 8% lean at idle and the stock injector's duty-cycle was WAY high during wot. the '99s got the scrawniest injectors of all ls1 motors, iirc.

Shane,
When did you get the spray put on bro?

I have not talked to you in a while and dont even know if you remember me. I used to have the 99 Blue LS1 Camaro and seen you at Mooresville.

I am making the trip down to Darlington this Saturday for the F Body vs SVT shootout, are you coming?

Im gonna run my new Bird and see if I can get her in the 12s with just catback, lid and Drag Radials.

Hope to see you there.
Mike

Hows it going Mike? I see you traded up.

Spray has been on for a few months, this is the first time I have been able to get some good runs in at the track. I was going to upgrade fuel pumps and go with the 150+ shot. But after yesterday I am having clutch woes.
And I thought the SPEC stage 3 would hold up, guess not.

Shane
