Hypothetical race....

Stock 2004 Cobra 390/390 against an f-body 1994 LT1 with fully ported heads, intake and cam 230/236, headers, 373 gears, m6, ram air? What would you guys say? From a dead stop and from a roll? Thanks....

W/ the cobra stock the fbody should win, the cobras run mid 12's out of the factory...but put a simple pulley on that cobra or any other small mod for that matter and the fbodys back to the drawing board.

Yeah, I know I am hoping to see 375-390 RWHP with my modes with good tuning that is....also thinking of a 100 shot on top of my heads and cam......those mustangs are fast...

You would walk the Cobra pretty bad in either case. You gotta figure with that setup you're going to see at least 370 HP/ TQ to the wheels with good heads. That's like 420 at the flywheel compared to the 390 of the Cobra. That's asuming 12% drivetrain loss for the LT1.

That Cobra looks like a very fast car, being stock.

And the cobra's arent 390 at the flywheel either, they are underated.....as we all know

Ok, just got back from another site I browse, guy just went to the dyno Monday and put down 375/374 stock.
Underated I think, and yea the ZO6 does win stock to stock, but that wasn't really part of this post either. No big flame war about that ****, been done too many times

If they are claiming 390/390....15% drive train loss would put them around 332rwhp....if they are dynoing stock 375rwhp....they need to be pushing 450 at the crank.
