So i buttoned up my nitrous install last friday and cleaned the z up and headed out to a buddys house. We all decided to go on a little cruise being it was nice out(65* in jan in colorado). Around here it is mostly stock 5.0s and a few ls1's and hondas nothign too fast. We get out to the spot and there ended up being a few nice cars, a 04? wrx sti with top mount BOV some tuner software and 14psi. His buddies were with him and they drove a 2002 stang gt with just boltons and a 2003 cobra 2.8 pulley,SLP cat-back,JLT cold air and a diablo sport chip. I ask for some friendly runs with the sti and he agrees. First one was me on motor. From a stop he jumps a good 3 cars out of the whole and it stays that way the rest of the race. Second race i was on the 150 from a stop again. He gets the jump on me and is out an easy 2 cars with me spinning bad threw first. I got lucky and grabbed some road in 2nd and eased past him at the end i was about 5 lenghts ahead and pulling steady. Then the cobra calls me out. Sadly even on a 150 shot he edged me out. All in all it was fun to see how much of a difference nitrous made, The look was great beating the sti from a dig . But damn you cobra and your 4.6 of *** beating fury

Yeah the Pullied Cobras are just nasty.

 

I raced a pullied Cobra when I was on the 150 Shot and barely edged him out. Then I raced an 04 Z06 and he edged me out.

The Cobras are mean especially up top, but those damn Z06's are meaner!!!

 

I noticed that we run similar times n/a. Do you have any times on the spray? I just want to get an idea of what I will run when I hit the button this year.

 

i never got any times on the juice. i had a nitrous backfire and sold the kit to pay for some other stuff. I did beat a consistant 13.0 car by about 3 car lengths if that means anything

 

Nice kill on the AWD turd. I'd like to drive a bone stock 03/04 SVT. Just curious as to how much meaner they get with mods.

 

I had a friend with an 03 that did a pulley swap and tune and it was rediculous how much more of a SOTP feel it had. We took all the cars to the dyno and it put down 440 something. Ill have to see if he still has the dyno graph from it.

BTW, it also had exhaust and an intake.
