You can see the mods I had on my Z in my siq. Your friend had to have more than just exhaust to beat you. In fact, I don't think the car in my sig. would beat you. I think he's spraying or he's got bigger turbos.

By the video, the car doesnt look stock by any means.
Modified exhaust and 3 gauges on the A-Pillar...why monitor so many things on a stock setup??
Looks like he punked you on the " Stock turbo's " ... something is fishy those arent THAT fast stock.

Mine was stock when I bought it and I was underwhelmed by the performance. High 13 sec. car at best. But once you open up the exhaust and up the boost, it's a mean car. Still needs more work to beat a 345 rwhp Fbody though.

its a N/A to TT swap, Tuned Ecu, FULL exhaust, boost controller (1 Bar), new clutch, 555cc injectors, under drive pulley....That set up is good for low-mid 12s I believe...

 

I just went to that link and DAMN! A lot of those mods are news to me. That little SOB, I knew he had more than he was telling us. Heres the list of his mods and i "quote" from his sig on that site...

Im not as disappointed now that Ive read all of this. He's gonna hear it from me tonight when I see him. By the way I was talking to him today at school and he took it to the track last night and ran 7.9's all night long on slicks. Good eye Z28COnrad, I had no idea he had posted the video anywhere else.

 

Run him in the Gixxer and shut him down.

I called him out on the other board. I think the old bird here can run a 7.9 in the 1/8. I'm going to dyno day today at A to Z auto are you going? I'll probly be there around 10AM give or take a half an hour. I gotta fix my exhuast........I had to weld new 3 - 2 1/2 reducers on the x-pipe and now it's rattling like hell!! I'll drop the exhuast hangers in the morning and be set to go.

 

nope im not going, i just had mine dynoed the other day so theres no use in going. but good luck to you. the guy with the 300 will be down there so look for him.

 

I saw him and a few others. I told him I wanted to race him, but I don't know if he will. He had a camcorder there so I think he got me dynoing, if he did I'll try to post it up here. I'm not going to rag them out on the other site but I think they really didn't know how to use that dyno. My first pull I made 200rwhp, second 199rwhp, third 174rwhp So we let it sit for awhile cooling, came back and I made 370rwhp. I was like WTF????? He told me they had the tire sizes set wrong and it was throwing everything off do I don't know what the deal was, those #'s mean nothing to me. How can you tell what you have when the #'s were up and down so much? Oh well it was fun and I was glad to meet some of the guys (and girls) from the board. I know one thing.........it has more than 200rwhp!


As a side note there was a z06 that dyno'd right before me......he made 299

 

What color was the Z06? You have to remember that was a mustang dyno they were using and not a dynojet. That explains the low #'s, but they shouldnt have been up & down like that. Plus they shouldnt have been THAT LOW. Your car should have layed down somewhere around 260-270 rwhp on that dyno.

 

It put down 370rwhp on the last pull......the vette was yellow. I was the one in the red firebird that nissanguy32 video'd. He says he will have the video on the other site soon. So maybe you'll get to see it.


Edit.....It's not a mustang dyno, it's a dynomite. They said the #'s were even lower than a mustang dyno. But I don't know.
