a few of my buddies and me went out to someones house and had some drinks for st pattys day



One of these guys has a 01? Integra type R

he has some bolt-ons like I/H/E, VTEC controller, new intake manifold, new throttle body, cams and cam gears and some suspension work



well of course since i have the only muscle car in this area he immediatly wants to run me some time



I was just seeing if any of you could predict the outcome of this race

from a stop and a roll


my mods are in sig, plus new tires, small level of weight reduction, and a fresh built tranny

stock i think they run mid - high 14's, but with all of that work i wonder what he could pull off


i think i could pull him friom a stop do to my torque factor, but when his VTEC kicks in, i think he might start to reel me in

not like it's embarasing to lose to him. sucky yes...but he HAS got more mods.

i still think it would be close.

if you can launch good and not spin, you very well could hold him off in the 1/4mi

just make sure you both turn your AC off...cause i've heard that as an excuse way too many time :blah:

If you can drive, I honestly think bone stock in good condition, a LT1 would own it.
I still have the issue, an old SS, they built(different car, but still) a 99 or 00 Civic Si up. Had JUN come and they built the whole top end of the motor, with a professional driver still only got a low 14@99 i think. I'll have to dig it up an check. Ok for a na 4banger, but, not really.

The type r's start out with a motor that revs to 9 g's and will go on and starts with about 190 to the ground with all the mods that car there should be in the 250's witch is just as much as a camaro and the car is about 400 or 500 pounds lighter then a camaro its tuff like you say if the boy has found out how to launch the car it may be bad news but if you know how to drive and he doesnt well you should hold him off but that is only if he cant drive

type r's only make 160 ish rwhp stock..i always wanna race this kid..he has a type r with a jackson racing s/c on it..i heard he dynoed at 240's..

He probably only has about 185-195 whp, modded.

just race him and find out.. im sure youll beat him though.. just go from a dig

I think i should be racing him sometime next week on my Spring Break



He knows how to drive fairly well, but i ono if he can launch it or not




Plus, He "double clutches his gears" and can out shift my automatic supposively


I called bullsh!t to his face when he said he could out shift my auto



Also i found out he has a big system in there, so that should add some weight i think
