formula vs C5

So as i am leaving base today to bring my friend back to his broken Z28 that he left his wallet at i see a vette coming around the corner in the same direction that i am going. He pulls out in front of me and stands on it. We stay pretty even, he pulls maybe a car on me from a good second gear roll. So we pull off onto another road and stop, he tell me to go so i launch with a little wheel spin and he is ready and stays right with me, he pulls to my nose in first and then slowly walks away till about the top of my third when he misses a gear (i hear the car bounce of the rev limiter for about 2 seconds) so i just let off because as i see it there is no point in winning that way, so the guy waves me of into his apartment complex. I stopped and talked to him and as it turns out he works in the WSA with me, and he just bough the vette ( i believe it was uses) but he says it is bone stock. Now i take the lose for what it is and i admit i had a 200lb person and about another 100lbs worth of tools in my car and i was not on the bottle but i figured for sure i could take a stock C5 vette with my mods, i have yet to make a run (this friday) but i was sure i was low 13's. I dk i am confused and doing a little venting maybe his car is just a really quick stock vette, but i can remeber loosing about the same to an A4 vette when i was alot less modded.

STock C5 should run 12.8-13.2 @108-110 in the 1/4. You'd be looking at mid-low 13s @~102-105 with your mods and no spray.

Good story. The C5's are no joke, that's for sure.

BTW, thanks for your dedication to our country.
