First time at the track

just thought i would finally post up some numbers since i have been here for a year and this is my first time at the track!

My Runs

Forgot to pick up time slip
had ASR on

2) 13.87 1/4 mile
2.30 60 ft
108.2 mph

3) 13.84 1/4 mile
2.38 60 ft
109.99 mph

2.265 60 ft
104.16 mph

5) 13.67 1/4 mile
2.23 60 ft
109.1 mph

i think i did pretty good... i was scared ****less the first time i went up that is why i forgot to turn the asr off...

over all it was fun!!!

i really couldnt believe my car was trapping that high since i had a vert

i have F1 275/40/17 on 10 spoke SS wheels, shift firmness programmed, SSRA, Lid, Bellow, descreened MAF, Bassani Catback, and a Cutout, and SFCs

when i did these runs i had my alpine Type R and the amp in my trunk still

good run, man that is a pretty good mph for a auto vert with stereo equipment in the trunk, now get that 60ft into the 1.x range and snag a 12sec run

Not bad.

Practice your launching techniques. Cut 2.0s on ur 60s and you'll be low 13s all day, right where u want to be with what you got.

and don't be skurred at the track. Life doesn't begin until the tree drops

LIVE IT, LOVE IT

Your 60' doesn't affect MPH that much. But I doubt you'll ever have your quickest ET and fastest MPH in the same run.

Re: First time at the track

i have some nitto 555r that i will be throwing on there next time i go to the track... hopefully i can cut some 2.0s

i guy down here said that it is better to launch off idle with our A4s so they dont spin, i was launching at 1k and then giving it full throttle and spinning like mad...

i think she has low 13s in her.... just need some traction

Spinning tires can skew your MPH some. Some spinning of the tires will keep the revs up in a better power band sooner, and may make your MPH jump a couple. It's a fine line between spinning the right amount to do that, and blowing the tires off, which will hurt you a lot. 109-110 MPH is plenty to go 12's
