finally, it happened.

will be winterizing the car soon so i been taking out more to enjoy my last moments with it this year. i was out last night just cruising a little, not many races go down here (space or traffic) but i decided to go to an area truckers use. some open roads on the other side of town. noone around i open the car up had my fun and start heading home. leaving that area i see a car barrelling towards me in the rearview. he slows down to my driver side. a cobra, didnt know if it was a 2001 or 03-04, look the same to me. he stares over an punches it. i hear the whine, heart begins to pound. he wasnt going anywhere with traffic ahead of us, just making a point. took us several lights to finally line up, even then we both sat at a green to let a few cars clear out. someone pulled over ahead i guess knowing what was about to happen. light goes back to red, waiting for the green i see his hand near the dash, now im thinking he has nos too so i will get blown away. GREEN! i can feel my car spun for a few feet, i dont know about him with all the noise, hes up on the launch 1/2 car, stays that way for a couple seconds and then i started creeping up. i kept advancing til we both shut down for the next intersection. i finished 1 1/2 cars ahead. we spent the next ten minutes trying to go again but it never happened.

im betting on stock. i run 12.0-12.2 depending on the track. i know i would be toasted if it was modded. although a few of us seen one with a kb blower and cooler run a 12.9 consistantly at englishtown. it was a huge pulley, so i dont know if it was low boost or bad driver or both.

Probably a bad driver and a englishtown track w/ a little too much volumn on it that day(as usual)..W/ those mods it should be creeping up on 10's. Low 12's you could easily take out a few lightly modded newer Cobras

Good kill. Last time i went to the track there was one stock cobra running consitent 13.5s and another running consistant 13.1s this is at 3500 ft., but my bros ls1 ran a 13.6 i wish we would have gottne to line up with the one running 13.5s though.

If i go to Denver Co i refuse to drive. I live in a town of 1000 people and hate traffic. I can drive in it but i just hate it.

I love it here except for the 10 below temp today and the working outside all day long.

slow, glad to see you got that thing hooking good/running right last post i read you ran a 13 or something. I bet that is one strong running ls1, we cant wait to get some mods started for my little bro's ta.
