Which is faster?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering which car is quicker, a 93 z28 with msd ignition, and aftermarket k&n air filter. Or a 85 monte carlo ss with a jasper 305 H O motor and new dual exhaust? I heard the monte carlo... is this true? I'm pretty sure the monte carlo is stock pretty much stock with the exception of the reman motor. Thanks for your opinions

From what I've seen and I'm assuming both were stock, and equal drivers the lt1 will handle it. Should not even be close. Just from what I've seen.

Well the reason I am asking is every time I see the guy he revs up his car, and everyone said he thinks his is faster car is faster than mine. I guess one of these days we might see lol. Thanks for your input guys

The Monte I can not see being any faster than 16 seconds, probably high 16s.

What people think is fast and what actually is are two very different things.

180 hp monte carlo ss vs a 280 hp z28, with very little weight difference. you tell me who is faster.

I'm saying the Monte should pull you by about 6 lengths in the 1/4
Assuming you and two of your friends are pushing the Z28 while the guy in the Monte haplessly flogs that POS 305 down the strip...

Probably, but that doesn't matter. Speedometer's highest reading is not an accurate measure of how fast it is.

Shouldn't that be more like 150?
