EASY KiLL!! Turbo Eclipse!

I am in Leadership school w/ a kid w/ a turbo eclipse.. he's not cocky, but I have heard him talking about how WICKED fast he thinks his car is...

We were on the LONG TURN leaving base today.. I was taking it VERY easy on the turn cause it was raining... as soon as we hit the straightaway, I TRIED to lay on it... nope, 60mph and breaking em loose.. Tried again at 75.. broke em loose.. then again at 80... I know it sounds dumb, but I've owned this car for 5 years and I think we're connected pretty well.. as soon as I felt it even THINK about breaking loose I laid off.. Plus the SFC's help a LOT w/ keeping it straight!!!

Anyway... I was at about 3/4 throttle thru third and then the same in 4th till I was at about 90, then I felt almost comfortable to floor it.. i wasn't 100% WOT, but I looked back and that kid was about 3 car lengths behind me!

If it's not raining tomarrow, it's ON!!!!! I'll frickin kill him AGAIN!!! But from a roll this time!!!

I couldn't resist.. you know how the adrenaline junky takes over!!

+1 for the Eclipce guy. It's good to see not everyone is dumb enough to try and race in the rain.

Why wouldn't you think he was having just as much trouble with traction? A FWD car in the rain is not a stellar performer even in stock trim. If you double or triple the power and ask that same one wheel to do all the work, it just isn't gonna happen.

Not all DSMs are AWD.
