Viper must be a little more than 800ps to do that.

Re: Dodge Viper vs. Yamaha R1

It killed me to see whoever edited that video saying he was a "good rider."

Bull****.

Homeboy was upshifting using the clutch. Any rider worth a **** knows that slows you down.

Point #2 - he was wearing SHORTS. No "good rider" would be caught dead wearing shorts.

Bikes are only as fast as their riders, and that guy pretty much sucks the big ****.

As the owner of a 2000 Kawasaki ZX-12R, I couldn't agree more.

Re: Dodge Viper vs. Yamaha R1

Is it just me, or does it seem like the guy in the Viper is seriously short shifting. It sounds like he runs each gear for about 2000 rpms and then shifts.

i cant speak from experience, but i would imagine w/ 800+ hp you go through gears pretty quickly...

It's my experience that you likely need to rev the engine above 4500 rpms to actually make that 800 hp. If you listen to the exhaust note, it certainly doesn't sound like the Viper is reaching the upper rpms.

Also, if you pay attention to the other cars on the road, the Viper and the bike aren't traveling very fast compared to them.

From a guy that gets to hop on an 04 R1 every now and then I have to agree with that. I also know of a few 325rwhp Busas that would run him. I saw a vid once of a 800hpp viper race a stock busa and win then run one with exhaust and intake and loose LOL, then got SPANKED by a turbo busa.

Re: Dodge Viper vs. Yamaha R1

The Busa that spanked him was just running a 40 shot of Nitrous. He should have been in the mid 250hp range, no turbo. Can you imagine how bad it would have been with a turbo?

If it had a turbo the busa could have had a coffe break, jumped on and ran the dude down LOL

I know one guy with a 325rwhp busa, it would take a long time for me to have the ***** to go WOT on that thing !!!!!!!!!
