cobalt ss vs. the Z

if you just want to read about the race go to the second para.

to set the mood a little, just starting the day off on a kinda iffy note, i am running late for school and as i press the button to close the garage, it wont freaking close! it just clicks, ten minutes pass, i end up having to hold the button down to get it closed all the way...pissed me off, i am now 20 minutes late with a 15 minute drive to go! so i just exited the interstate and i see this yellow car making a douche outta himself behind me and so i'm like ok w/e. we get onto this 4 lane street which is really long and not busy at all. he passes me and i think nothing of it except i notice that it is a cobalt ss with that funky *** ricer wing on the back.

we both catch a light, i see him looking over at me so i am figuring that he wants to play around a bit, so i start to load up the tranny its at 1300rpms anymore and the wheels break free, the light turns green, he punches the motherf**ker, i do the same, i dont catch and he takes off like a bat outta hell! i finally catch and he's 2 cars infront, i can hear the whine of his car (assuming that its the s/c) and some stupid *** exhaust
my car shifts into second, i pull to his back bumper and pulling slow, its 80mph mine shifts into 3rd and right away it starts pulling harder and i'm door to door with him and on the move (all the while i am hearing him shift) , i do the nice guy wave as i'm passing (we both are all smiles at this point) and i eventually end up 3 cars in front of him by 105 where i shut it down.
we go our seperate ways after a nice thumbs up and wave.

it was a nice race, i heard those things were quick lil buggers, i'm glad i won.

Sounds like about what happened with a 350Z I ran a few weeks ago. He was in front of me and punched it out to 4 cars before I reacted from the light. By 50 or so the pulling had stopped and by 120 I was to his door. It still had the 30 day tags on it, and I thought for sure it would be faster.
