Interesting races, even though your title is misleading. The Civic jumps the truck, then essentially stays even. The truck walks the Z06, so I'd assume that from a roll, the Civic would walk the Z06. Given the same tires on both, however (i.e., stock vs. stock or DOT vs. DOT) I'd wager the Z06 would walk the Civic in the 1/4 mile.
Unlike what seems to be a majority here, I think it would be cool to have a Civic that was that quick. But with that said, if my wife and I went out for a night on the town, there's no question that we'd go in either her car (Vette) or my car (quicker Vette), and not a Civic. There *is* something to be said for spending more for a slower car

Can anyone tell me how the heck a Zo6 with nitrous got beat by a truck ??? 
I have seen another vid with that truck smoking every car it races. I saw a guage pod in it figure it has a super charger or turbo. but still !!!! That truck has soo much working against him , weight , ride hight, gearing,tires ect. And yet it stomps the compatition.

this thread is great...yeah several of my friends with hondas have decided to go the domestic route. Why? Becuase they realize they are faster and more fun to drive.RawAzz...i think this thread kind of backfired on you.

from what i saw of the z06/turbo truck race is the vette struggling for traction for the first two gears of the the race, stopping the pull (with tire smoke STILL pouring) and possibly starting to gain. with traction, i think that the z06 might be the quickest car in that vid.

Don't fool yourself, you are on a board strongly devoted to the F-Body, and newer GM offerings in general. If you are absolutely serious, I believe it could be easily achieved to scavenge the internet, and member's PCs to find a lop sided ratio of videos of imports losing to V8 domestic cars. I do think the import scene has came a long way. But, to base a whole "mode" of thinking on a very small group of very fast Hondas vs. the rest of the world is foolish. For every 13 second Honda, there are thousands that are just vinyl wrapped econo boxes that still run stock times. The average LT1/LS1/5.0/4.6 will put a hurting on the average Honda. I have been to the local import nights at the track, and street race areas MANY times, and YES there are 10 & 11 sec Hondas.. But for the 5 or less of cars like that, there is ATLEAST 350+ that are 16+ second 1/4 cars. Of the cars that were putting down great times, not one appeared to be even somewhat streetable. True, there are many 10 sec trailer queen 4th gens, but there are alot more that are daily/weekend drivers. I am sure there are some Hondas able to do this, BUT the ratio has to be lop sided...

Kris93 hit it right on the head. I think all of us know that there are some fast Honda's out there. The issue is that they are rare - at my local strip (which is now shut down) 14+ second imports probably outnumbered the <14 second imports by 10:1 and THIS WAS AT A 1/4 MILE DRAG STRIP in Southern California (the capital of Rice mobiles) where you'd think all the local fast Honda's would be.
Although some were truly street cars, of the handful of 12 second imports that I did see, a large majority tended to be stripped down, plexiglass windowed vehicles running on slicks. On the other hand, I've seen numerous Fbodies and C5s in the 12s with nothing more than intake/exhaust bolt-ons and DRs.

Yep it won't be pretty, be are you tring to go fast or win a beauty contest. Let me take the same car and spend $4000-5000 on it, and you baby honda is going down. And if your honda might edge me out , how 'bout next week or the one after that. You might blow smoke up the uninformed's butt and tell them "oh it's a honda it'll take for years."
But I live in the real world and I'll race the **** out of everything, and I've blow up enough lawn mowers, 4cyl everything a few sixes and a few eights to say that it will not. I'll give at least one reason why, honda is not making race cars their making enconmy cars, and their not going to put enough nickel, chrome and etc to make the engines blocks that tough, it'll cost more and bottom line thats what makes the world go around, profit.
Yea next your going to tell you know this guy and he has this that has done this and that, well I've had people tell me they saw UFO's but I'm not going to belive them.
I like quick small engined cars are cool, I have several vids of golfs, and supra and rx7's wrx' and etc an my computer right now and I think their cool. But I not let the fast and the ferious tell me that my v-8 boys have anything to fear.Until you show me an 4cyl runing mid 4.ooS in the 1/4 I not sweating any 4 cyl. That's what happens when you stick 20-30 PSI though a V-8.
As far as repling to my post don't bother I probely won't see it for months.
Instead of running my "mouth" about cars I going to be out making mine faster and smoother and driving it, and learing more and help people make theirs better, like a real car guy, not a internet troll
Long may the rumble of an American V-8 ring though this land!
