Cammed LT1 vs full exhaust 5.0

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...hreadid=117779

Maybe i am loosing my mind here, but somebody thinks they took out a cammed full exhaust LT1 with a full exhaust 5.0 with 205 rwhp. Anybody else here see something wrong with that? The first post is about her killing an LS1 i dindt even get invovled in that, but the LT1 is totally outrageous. Her one idea was that the LT1 didnt have any torque..what is she smoking LMAO. Take a look.

I didn't know LS1 TAs came in green? I do know that the LT1s do, since I drive a green one. anyone know that for sure?

No, I am a defender of common sense.

Where exactly do you see that story? I saw a heads, intake, exhaust, etc. 306 take out an LS1.

She is obviously retarded. Look at the posts they are based completely off racing on the street. She probably just does ricer fly-bys. Hell she can't even tell the difference between LS1 cars and LT1 cars.

An exhaust 5.0 beating a cammed LT1 fbody?

I'm gonna have to say BS.

Re: Cammed LT1 vs full exhaust 5.0

anything is possible. 5.0 isnt a "bad" motor, but anything can happen. I could beat mustangs all day long in my old saturn. Why? who knows, but my saturn was bone stock and i could run with v6 mustangs all day long.

Re: Cammed LT1 vs full exhaust 5.0

yea, its hard to say without a dyno. Even some hotcammed LT1s will dyno 250ish when something is wrong. Fouled plugs, bad opti, slipping tranny... who knows.

I wouldnt raise the BS flag just yet.. she isnt claiming to be running 11s, just that she beat a LT1.

Re: Cammed LT1 vs full exhaust 5.0

she also said she ripped on an LS1.... puh leeeeze....the only thing that car has going for it is the trickflow intake... and even with all that bullcrap a 5.0 of that year is NOT going to be running down an LS1... your talking about a decade of age, technology, and mechanical improvements.... maybe a bone StOcK z28 camaro, with a punk 16 year old in it who cant drive the bone stock automatic in it, and probably wasnt even hittin it full throttle cuz he pissed his pants and backed down..... THAT is the other half of the story she just forgot to add in there a bone stock LS1 with a 5 speed or even a "smash-o-matic" and the right driver will swallow that point whole... anyone see the commercial for the 5th gen camaros when the first came out? the camaro in the dark, a few whimpers of a 305 HP V8... and then u see the car... i believe a mustang, sitting in the middle of the room, and before you know it, all you see is a discombobulated shell of the car after the camaro ate it..... so true *chevy*

True about the full exhaust 5.0 taking out LS1s and LT1s. Full exhaust takes a stock 5.0 from about 190 rwhp to 210 rwhp, not even close to enough to pull a decently running cammed LT1. I want to hear more about the 5-speed offered in the LS1s. When did the 5th gens come out? I must have been in a cave again. How fast are they, what do they cost?

Re: Cammed LT1 vs full exhaust 5.0

The 5.0 ran a 9.7 best time in the1/8, with the trim it beat the cammed LT1...i would hope a cammed full exhaust LT1 would bre running better then 15.5's
