The early mag's head-to-head comparisons put the GT slightly ahead of the Z06 ... not by much though

But they also dyno'd them, and the Z06 put down around ~455 RWHP (which seems pretty typical of them so far) while the GT put down a whopping 530 RWHP!!
SO, I wouldn't draw all your conclusions from their "specs" page ... seems Ford under-rated that engine just a smidge!
Although, it appears to weigh more (according to that MT test you posted above, 3468 lbs) so the power-to-weight ratio would help level the playing field between the GT and the Z06.
IMO, it's probably a good old driver's race!
