Burned 2 times!

I was out racing in escondido last week. I raced a mustang gt with bolt ons and won easily. Then i raced my friends light bolt on LS1 and won twice. Then a cop pulled me over, took my car, gave me 3 tickets, and told me i was going to jail. After an hour of sitting on the curb he told me he wasnt going to take me to jail. But my car was basically toaste. Its in the impound for 30 days. But hey i still took out my buddy ;] Know any good criminal people who can get me outta a 100 mph in a 45 zone lmao? Thought i would throw in how gay street racing can be when you get cought.

You think not having a radar detector is the problem? Not to be mean but, I would of taken your #$$ to jail for going 100 in a 45. WTF

1). If the best your car can do is 13.5 @ 101 then the LS1 driver should sell his car and buy a Neon because he can't drive for crap.

2). Racing on city streets was pretty dumb and your lucky he didn't take you to jail. A lot of cops would have.

Re: Burned 2 times!

step 1. Get a GOOD radar detector. no not a cobra they dont block the cops radar no more, cops use lasers now

step 2. I would only race on the highway at night when theres no trafic and no exits, for a cop to pull onto the highway from. Cops are cars to and drive with there lights on. if you see anything that looks like a cop or well bottom line has headlights shut it down and wait for it to pass.

step 3. Dont speed in low MPH areas. that if/ when in your case when you get a ticket for going 100 mph it would be on highway speeds going 70 or so not 45 mph

Re: Burned 2 times!

might help you guys, but its illegal for cops (other than state police) to use radar in pa. just keep that in mind if you happen to rip through here. they can only pace or use vascar.

With all due respect...

There is a HUGE difference between doing 75 in a 65 or 55 in a 45 and racing another car to triple digits. Many of these street races/highway races go to 120+. Many stop light races end up with both parties exceeding the speed limit by 40 mph or more. So don't even try and say that speeding 5-15 over the limit is even in the same ball park as street racing. Because it just isn't so.

Take it to the track. That's where it belongs.

Re: Burned 2 times!

you are right and i hear youre point...but at the same time dont act like you have never doubled or maybe tripled a speed limit...because its an adrenaline rush that feels the same whether it be at the track or on a street

Dude, "adrenaline rush" ain't the words for it......it's an incredible feeling. Maybe not for people that do it all time or go to the track every weekend, but for someone like me, it's an incredible feeling.....I haven't had the car for very long and I've actually only had two "real" street races, so for me, the feeling is still very new and incredible. Let me tell ya, when I was side-by-side with that Mustang GT last week......I about crapped my pants. I was like a little giddy schoolboy, lol........I probably got it up to about 90 in a 55.....in the dark. Risky? Hell yes. Fun? Oh f*ck yes.
