beat a 330ci coup bmw

2003 bmw 330ci coup--manual. on the highway. tonight. he was doing about 110mph. i caught up to him (so, i was doing something like 135-140mph to catch up).

once i caught up. we signaled and we started going from 85-90mph. i put it in third and started giving it some gas...it wasnt really any competition. i started walking him from the get-go.

he wasnt happy with the results, so we did it 3 more times...same results. once the race started, he'd get left behind.

finally, he rolled down his window and i rolled mine, and he said nice car...i did the same. he gave me a thumbs up.

NICE !!! he's not even close to being in your league. A stock M3 might give you some but youd still win.

Nice kill!

You dropped it to third going 85-90? You driving an M6? Seems like way too low of a gear for that speed. I have to shift out of 3rd at about 97 MPH with my M6 with the 3.42 rear.

mine's an auto.

i've got 3.42 rear.

i can stay in third up in the low hundreds. ~115-120mph.

no one really messes with me in the camaro. everyone starts when i'm in my brother's riced-out prelude. times like that make me wish i was in my camaro.

A 355 could take on an M3? Really?

honestly, my times arent real accurate right now, because the motor isnt tuned very well. i have a mail-order tune, and that's just enough to get it to make about 300rwhp. jordon musser will hopefully tune it sometime soon. i'm expecting about a 60-80 rwhp gain from that, for a total of ~370rwhp.

without slicks, i dont quite know what the times would be for that much power and suspension.

If you end up with 370 RWHP and your car's race weight is 3600lbs; you can expect somewhere around 12.43 @ 109.69 mph.

Edit: That's assuming you get a decent launch.

lol, right now, i've got 18" vette wheels on it...
maybe i'd get the mid 12's time if i got some slicks.

edit: i dont think i mentioned the 3000 stall

My friend just got a 330ci, nice car. It is a two door thing, with the inline six. Pulls nice. How do you think my basically stock formy would do?

you should kill him easy... the m3's are over rated (drove one and an m5)... yawn, yawn... imo not the ultimate anything...

the 330s are slower still... race em' have fun...
