5 car lengths going 100mph isnt much. maybe 1/2 sec difference. like he said though the ZO6 was starting to pull on him.

My money is on the Z06. However someone could beat a Z06 in a ford Pinto if the Z06 driver misses a gear.(because they all are manual transmissions). Also with the traction control on (even in a straight line) if you mash the z06 to the floor the rear brakes will apply to stop wheel spin. So the driver has to have some talent as well, because they are so friggin powerfull!!!

Guys, you know the launch has the most to do with a race ..... even watching that vid just posted, the Z06 plays "catch up" in every run! If you'd like another story to wave the BS flag at, I beat a ~10 second C5 from 0 - 30 mph with my Z28 when it was A4/3.73's . He didn't sit and spin or anything, but I just got a really good launch myself. Beyond that, I was screwed! These things happen on the street ... even a Civic could "beat" a Z06 if the race was short enough!!

Stock Z06s don't hook too great on stock streets, at least from my experience...I'm not afraid of any stock Z06 on stock streets in the 1/4...Ranger's car over on LS1tech is damn nasty for sure, but most of what I've seen are in the mid 11s-low 12s at 123-127 (which is wicked mph)...The video is a roll from like 50,70-170...Even I'm not that stupid...My car is set up for the 1/4 and not for high mph rolls...

No doubt they are the most impressive stock car for the money anywhere...Whats sick is all the work I've had to do to mine and all they have to do is turn the key...They are fairly deadly on DRs, with a GOOD driver.

As for my race with one, I killed him from a 20 mph roll and it looked like he was trying..He definitely was pulling on me but at 100, coming up on traffic I slowed down...Believe what you want, it makes no difference to me...

Do you have sigs turned off or something? He runs an 11.36. The only stock car he can't beat is a Saleen S7 Twin Turbo.

He also traps at 119, meaning most of his 11.3 timeslip is a result of the traction rather than the power. The 1.55 60ft, while impressive as hell, is what brings those ETs. I hope that's at least DR's because that's some damn good hookup!

A Z06 will pass him up top in a race where traction isn't an issue, as evidenced by their 125+ mph traps. In the Lambo vs. Z06 video linked above, you can tell the Gallardo traps maybe 120 mph because the Z06 literally "walks" away -- that is to say it looks like a 3-4 mph advantage.

When you're talking about anything in the 120 mph area, it's going to take a long time for a car with a 2-3 mph advantage to pass the other, usually much longer than a quarter mile. So, whoever gets the jump will probably get the win. To "blow the doors off" a 125 mph car you'll need at least a 135-140 mph car.

Rather than being an ***, why don't you tell me what other car you can go purchase from a dealer, drive straight to the track, and pull off a run quicker than 11.3 without changing anything? And yes, drag radials count as changing something.
