Anyone know what this is?

A friend of mine has a buddy who has a 2003 mustang cobra with a paxton novi 2000 supercharger. He told me that his buddy wanted to race me. I was just wondering if this is a pretty good upgrade to a 03 cobra and what kind of HP he may be pulling down or what kind of HP one of those adds. I know this isnt a kill story but i didnt know where else to put it. Thanks for the help.

you can feed those cars a lot more than 8psi.

I know ATI has a procharger kit out that gets the cobra putting out 700rwhp.

Stock is 8psi with the eaton, I doubt the guy would change blowers unless there was some real power to be had.

oh yah, the cobras put out 330-370rwhp stock.

I bet he is over 500rwhp and running at least 15psi

the cobras can handle over 20psi on the stock bottom end as long as they don't lean out.

Also, I own one. Not modded yet, but I do know what they can do.

most kenny bell cars run at lest 15psi, some over 20

The kenny belle blowers are 19 psi

all i was asking was if you know what boost he is running now. i said 8psi cause its only a small jump from stock. i didnt see any mentions of boost controllers, timing kits, blah, blah, blah... you can get a ballpark idea using a boost calculator on www.superchargersonline.com mid page on the right has a hp calculator that you plug in the hp or rwhp, amount of boost, and after/intercooler if at all.

roots type blowers do not use boost controllers or anything like that. They adjust boost by pulley size only.

idk y he didn't just change out the pully in there anyway. i guess he has money to burn or something. either way that car should be bad ***. i guess i better get some drag radials before i race him.

well changing the pulley on a eaton only gets you so far because heatsoak and flow.... A centrifugal is much more efficient.

You cant be serious??? 15 psi is nothing with forged internals and the correct fuel system...

25-35psi on a serious race gas turbo buick is extremely common..
