ok i was at a party then decide to go race... a girl says i want to go, ive never been...and of course me being the ladies man i am say yea thats cool... so i go try to find some street races...and their are none so i go to a lonely industrial road where i know everyone goes to race...me and the girl start messing around...but she forgot to call her mom so were gonna head back when in the silence you hear the sounds...the sound can only be defined as "fart cans" the cars are: eclipse gsx(97-99), dodge stealth(w/ neons), crx, neon, and a civic or something to that effect ...so i went to park next to the cars...and i hop out of my ride...and ask are their actually gonna be races...the mexican with the eclipse replies if people are actually gonna go...not even 2 minutes later the crx and neon go to race i begun to chuckle i then see a baby in the eclipse in a car seat and ask " is that a sparco baby seat" i am so frustrated he would talk a damn kid to race , he said "hes just chillin" and say "if anyone here could come close i would race"...then someone says he will race pointing to the eclipse i go thats a 2.0 liter right? he replies yea...and of course the next thing i ask...so basically thats a pop bottle engine...frustrated the guy says lets go...and of course i ask is that turbo charged...he says no with a smirk and then proceeds to tell me how a non turbo eclipse killed an lt1 the night before i begin to laugh but did wanna look to cocky so was like wow so the last question i ask before we line up is "how much of a head start do you want?" he says dont even bother... me and the girl get into the car and we line up i then hear him rev up and of course you can hear the turbo begin to spool up...and i reply to the girl im gonna wax his ***

the lights flicker he goes...i give him roughly a second head start...and say to the girl "see the head start now watch" drop the clutch and fly...as soon as i hit second i am even, then a second later a car length the lead just kept building...got to 120 and shut it down...he was left back in the stone age... i turn around to go do my **** talking and explain how he just got then all of the little ricers probably at this time crying histerically shoot off into the dark

i didnt think about it til after the race...cause i went to line up before him...and im hoping not, but in all honesty i think he might have...and if he did afterwards i was going to give him a piece of my mind

 

So wait you were going to yell at him for racing with a baby in the car when in fact if you werent trying to impress the girl you were riding with the child would have not been put into the equation because there wouldnt have been a race? true he could have just as easily taken the kid out but come one if your gonna street race leave infants out of it

Well, that was a nice attempt at wit. However, 99 Z28s have a LS1 in them...not a LT1. There in lies the confusion - aka, you have no clue what you're talking about.

 

Ditto. With a whopping 39 posts, I wouldn't trust this story as far as I could throw it...


Also, I don't see a stock LT1 beating a stock GSX especially after, "the lights flicker he goes...i give him roughly a second head start..." You do know that a GSX is AWD???

Hell a LS1 would be playing catch up and it definately wouldn't be a "walk" or "left in the dust" kind of thing, not with a headstart...


Care to clarify buddy??? LT1 or LS1? Or do you know the difference...

ever heard of a typo i...damn my bad...i am well aware of the fact that ls1 engine became present in the 1998 models...if you dont believe me look at my recent posts(ie. the last week) in the "lt1 tech" forum i believe my last topic posted about it was named "Wanting to buy lt1 got some questions(please help)" where i explained i never owned an lt1 and currently had a 99 z
and was planning on getting an lt1...

and as far as the post numbers im sorry im not like you guys and on the internet all the time...unlike you people i actually have a life other than the internet...seeing as i am a 17 year old high school student, who plays football, basketball, and weightlifts. oh did i mention i hold a job at mci as a sales represenative...i also am well aware of the fact that a gsx is a turbo awd with approx 200 hp, and my guess it was an auto tranny or he couldnt drive...

either way the lt1 was just a typo, and how would i be playing catch up if a care has approx 130 less horsepower and weighs damn near the same amount?

and i really dont care if you believe me or not, i guess i was just trying to share a good kill with some fellow f-body owners, and then people gotta be biches about everything...sorry for getting a little upset but it pisses me off when people try to tell me i dont know what im talking about when infact i am far beyond my age in car knowledge...however if this is gonna turn into an arguement on the internet i will not get involved as im sure you wont because it is very immature and childish

Look, kid. You need to ditch the chip on your shoulder. If you think most of us spend all day on the internet, you're seriously misinformed. A lot of us (including myself) go to school full-time (yeah...college, not high school), have jobs, and have more of a life than you can imagine. I was confused (as many others were I'm sure) what you were trying to say in that paragraph I quoted earlier. You said LT1 two times...how is that a type-o? You know you meant LT1, you don't have to deny it. Have a day, punk.

BTW - I just read that whole thread and nowhere in there did you mention owning a LS1 etc.

 

you are correct i do never mention owning an ls1 but i do mention owning a 99 z28, and never owning an lt1...so obviously i knew they didnt have lt1's punk

 

idk about you guys but when i started reading this thread it came up as a stock LS1 for now...well anyway what i don't understand is the LT4 Z28 on the way... now don't anyone start yellin at me!
