went out to get some beer and i figured since i havent driven at all today i would jump on i-4 and go through downtown and turn around! go about 5 miles, getoff exit, get right back on i-4 headin home and the 2nd car i see is a green foxbody. he was cruisin about 65, so i get up next to him( noticeably pacing him) then i notice across his dash about 6 gauges! i was like i dont think this is near stock. we go about 1/2 mile then i give a lil rev, no bite, so few seconds go bye i mash it and jump to 75. still nothing, next thing i know he is coming up. he gets next to me gives me thumbs up! i was like sweet but he didnt do anything!! then we are doing about 60 adn i hear him downshift so i floor it and we both hit at same time. we are nose to nose to about 75 then he starts pulling away. then traffic came and he had about a car on me. we slow down and he says he jsut finished building and was giving it test drive! then he proceeded to say he has about 10 grand into it!! i was likie what! so i followed him to his exit which wasnt far, we get to red light. and i say i would like to go from stop but there is a cop over there. so he says he is goin gto the track this wednesday to see what it runs , and said to meet him there so that we can run without geting arrested! good idea. anyway we b.s at the light and then it turns green we go about 1 mile and hit another red light. we look at each other and i say wanna go to 60? he says ok. but he cant get traction with street tires. so we go, both get lil spin then hook and we stay nose to nose to about 55 then he starts pulling. in my lane there was a car ahead, so i had to slow. i catch back up give him thumbs up and tel him ill see him at the track.

He barely pulled a stock LT1 with $10K in it? He must have spent too much money on bling and not enough under the hood!

 

nope no bling! just a cowl hood was the only appearance diff. i dont htink he had much knowledge or somthing. or he didnt have it tuned. all in all i htink he was pushing about 40-60 more horses then me. he pulled away quite easy. from wha ti could tell ya he is a very easy low 13 maybe mid 12with traction.
p.s. that just m y opinion. iw ill tell ya wednesday night though

 

What did he have, heads, cam, intake, and exhaust? Or a blower or nitrous?

 

stock exhaust pipes is what i could see. but from what i could hear he said 3.73's and a cam. at idle at the light there was a lil lope but not alot! but just inuff to tell there was a cam.

 

He had to have more than that to pull you that hard. I am betting on heads and intake, nitrous or a blower in addition to his cam and gears.

 

actually i was thinking about this today at work. we were side by side till about 55 or so, then all the sudden he just pulled away from me quite easily! that probably means that he has nos? "possibly"

 

Or he got into his powerband from his heads, cam, intake or blower boost. Ask him what he has.
