Question 97 z28 vs 04 gt

I have a 97 z28 and my friend and coworker has an 04 gt. he has 373 gears, underdrive pully kit, flowmasters, and cai. I have american thunder series flowmasters, ram air intake, bbk powerplus tb, and a granatelli maf w/ cold air tuning coming in the mail, as well as eibach sportline springs, and kyb 8 way adjustable shocks nd struts. my camaro is an auto and his gt is manual. what do you think the outcome will be I'm curious because his gears as I have 273's I think but I've beaten my other friends 99 gt with eibach prokit springs, cai, and straight pipes and his was manual too, with 3.42 gears. thanks. oh I have everything on my car already but the maf, sorry didn't feel like rewriting that, lol.

I think you will get him no matter what. As long as you know how to use the gas pedal and not spin.

I beat a 03 GT tonight by about 1 to 1 1/2 cars, He was pretty impressed! Then I absolutley demolished his friend that had a 2000 V6 Stang w/ a 5 spd, went past him like he wasn't even moving

i saw him in front of me today, I have to admit it sounds pretty good, he took out the cats and has an H pipe with 40 series flowmasters. Seems like mine is a deeper tone, but i'd like to get mine as loud, maybe take my cats out as well? Anyway, lol, I didn't know it was him but he went to the other lane and slowed down so i could see him, and then hit it. I didn't get a chance to hit it, since he sneak attacked me lol, but it does seem pretty quick coming from i'd say 25-45. Makes me want 4.10's, maybe that will be next Oh by the way, the grudge match is next friday, april 13th, yeah friday the 13th haha, at richmond dragway, so we'll see what happens.

If you have good tires you will win by 3-4 car lengths, last weekend at the track i beat a maual 2004 stang 5 speed with stock gears by 7-8 lengths.

I did go out to temple, the track is in pretty good shape i guess,my buddy ran a 12.11 with his 98 trans am and didnt have any traction issues at all. it cost like 7 dollars to get in and 10 dollars to run as many times as you want. I am going to try to get some gears installed in the next week or two and when i go back i will give you a shout to see if you would like to go, i usually go out there with 5-7 other guys with their cars, we have a good time out there. There is usually plenty of Mustangs to beat up on also, usually only 1 or 2 that will hand you your ***...

Fords don't come with 3.42 gears, they do however has 3.27's stock. Maybe 3.55's if it was aftermarket? I would expect this to be very close, especially since the GT has gears, assuming he can drive to full potential.

Hey sorry haven't been on for awhile. The race was suppossed to be yesterday, but he pussed out cuz he's sick. I told him i didn't care if he was throwing up, he's making excuses, and bein a wuss lol. Actually, it's for the better, cuz my MAF never came in yet, and the beast is missfiring until i get that granettali. Oh, and by the way i got them eibach sportline springs, and kyb agx 8 way adjustable shocks and struts, i have them set up on 8 now, which is firm, should i soften the rear some for the race?
