I think it is too close to call. That setup should be good for mid to low 13s. Just depends on how you drive really.

With LT's and 3.73's. You should beat him if you don't spin too much off the line.

THE only thing he has is a flowmaster. I heard that a transam weighs more then my car? I have the spare tire and jack removed, also the back seats.

I think you'll edge him out as long as you don't take the race much further than 100.

I think you should beat him but you never know. My friend has a stock 01 Trans Am (A4) I've raced him a few times from a 20-30 roll and I always put about two car's on him and then around 80-90 he'd just fly past me like it was nothing. I have mac's now so i'll have to see if I can hold him off longer. Of course this is just my exprience and anything can happen.

yea lt1 gets the edge on the low end but then it starts choking when it gets to the high end. Now with the headers I got hopefully it will stop choking.

The heads on the LS1 are FAR greater than the ones on the LT1, which is why your car is choking. The headers will help, but I don't think it will be enough to hold off the LS1.

Just go and race him and see what happens. Nothing wrong with losing to him. I think if you get a really good launch you can hopefully hold him off. If not it'll be really close and you'll be right behind him.

Edit: Just noticed you didn't have a PCM tune, if you got that before you raced him your chances would be a lot better.

With a good launch I think you can beat him but it'll be close. The flowmaster does nothing for him HP wise so he's stock as far as I'm concerned. That means he's probably only going to run mid 13's @ 103/104 since he has a 99 (01 & 02 run a tad quicker).

I think you have an excellent chance. Good luck.

Just remembered he has 2.73's in the rear. That should slow his launch a tad.

I think you can take him, just make sure you dont fudge the launch.
