It wasn't an official kill, but it was a race. On friday we had a going away luncheon (its and airforce tradition) for my wife. When we left we all work out in the parking Lot BSing and our old flight commander walked up and was BSing with us (She is a 1st lieutenant). Well she was checking out my car and made a joke about stealing it or something, so i handed her the keys and i said "i bet you can't start it, even with these", just then our current flight commander walked up. He says "i bet i can" so i handed him the keys and said "go for it". He got in and couldn't start it, because i have a push button on the ashtray (ignition broke and that was the easiest fix). The he asks what i have and i throw out a couple major mods and he just kinda nods. Then my wife sees him touching my nitrous switch, (also in the ashtray) and blabs out about that. So now he is all interested and asks what i run. So i told him the numbers in my Sig and his only responce is "oh i can beat you even with nitrous" "i ran a 12.70" Then he talks about his Blazer for a minute (carb'd 383, weld prostars all around, getrag 5sp) and we leave. Well my wife leaves first (in my turbo Lebaron) and then him followed by me. Well as soon as we are back out on the main street (2 lanes either way) he jumps on it. I didn't follow because i was so far behind when he took off. Well he then catchs a light and my wife catchs it beside him. So i get behind him and wait for green because i know he is going for it. Sure enough he rolls out first and punches it. I was ready for him though and i held him to a 1 car lead all the way to the top of 3rd and we had to brake. Needless to say i think i would have started realing him in up high, on account of him being in a blazer and all. So i can't wait to see him agian because i am sure he thinks i was spraying, and of course i wasn't my bottle has been empty for months, so i am sure when i tell him that i will turn his cocky attitude into something a little more humble . - Carl
