96/97 Z28 Vs. Formula

Alright first off my friend was in the Formula, so it is not a race I was in, seeing as I'm on probation for.. well racing.. and have stopped doing it in a organized mannor for some time now.

Well we're up at the local spot here in Orland Park and there is a small gathering cause its been decent all day, now it was alittle cold.. and my friend in the formula and I pull up and join the crowds, I stick in the car cause I've got the sniffles and it's cold out since there is no sun atm (duh it's night) and he's BSing, he says He'll race anyone in the parking lot, and a guy in a black LT1 Z says he'll race him for shizzels and giggles.. so my buddy excepts and asks what the kid has, he said minor work, exhaust and such, and mostly it looked stock though it was hard to see at night if he had headers done (which we found out after he did) and a few smaller things.. my friend has a MAF LID and something else, just 3 small intake things, and slicks.

We head out to find a light in BooFu and they line up, my buddy does a quick tire warm up and the light hit's green and they're off, my buddy pulls a length off the line and has 2 more by the time he hit 90.. this was on a decently modded LT1 when he basicly has nothing.. thuogh the tires I will admit must have helped alot because he basicly churped off the line for a split second.. but other then that it was an awesome kill on that modded LT1.

Though I'd share. Kudos.

Edit: Formula is a 99 LS1 in V6 trim with 3.23's

3.23's (A4) or 3.43's (M6) depending on if they are the upgraded stock versions. Unless he bought new ones.
