95 Cobra vs. my 99 TA

I rarely get the chance to race anything. This part of town is no fun!

But I did last night

A 95 Cobra wanted to play games! He was ahead of me on the highway, and then I pulled out. He snorted as he went by. He was awefully loud, maybe off road pipe?

Well, I chased him, and as soon as he seen me behind him, he TOOK off! I chased him down, and got beside him on a hill about a mile up the road. We kicked it about 60-65mph or so, and the TA just TOOK off! Nostrils flaring, it put an easy 3-4 cars on that little pony!!!! I was ECSTATIC!

Adrenalin flowing!

IT was so much fun. He bright lighted me, but I was like whatever Lemme guess, he missed a shift, lol

The TA has a TS-P lid and all free mods, that is it, and an A4 car!

HOW awesome!

Note: I never street race, and would never do it w/ any presence of danger. There were no other vehicles involved, streets or stop lights. This was a plain highway.

Great kill.

95-98 Cobras are light but don't seem to be in lt-1 territory. Of coarse the Mustang guys would disagree. I have found from experience that I walk those years like you mentioned.

My car ran head up with an 01 Cobra and beat a 99 which have more hp than the 95-98's. I definately think you have some room to play. Just don't mess with the 03 unless you have some nitrous.

94-95 are the 5.0 cars rated at 235 hp, the 96-98 are the 4.6 modular rated at 305. Big difference between what he ran and the modular ones. And yes, I will disagree. With equal drivers the Cobra from 96-98 will give the LT-1 one hell of a race.

It was a she

And I know the differences in the cars, but it still sucked for him!

I wouldn't race an 03 unless I was in my 95Z

Good kill Angela.

One thing about those Mustangs is most of them sound so good but you can't tell if they run 15's or 9's.

Thanks guys!

I haven't posted here in a LONG time, but after that, I said to myself, I have to post that in the Kill section! I never get those chances anymore!

It was an easy kill, but when he started trying to get away from me, it made it worse, LOL

You aint kidding .
My friend brad just ran a 98 the other day in his 93 . The 98 sounded like it was a LT1 eater , but Brad put the spanking on him . Sounded good enough to send the weak@heart packing .

BTW , Nice kill

Yeah, stangs are noise makers!

But it was FUN! I LOVE running up on one in my Z. In this area, I rarely find one that will run me in the Z.

I've been in some fast cars, 500hp+, but I love the way my LS1 feels and all it has is a lid and free mods. I couldn't imagine one w/ heads, cam, full exhaust!
