This was my favorite kill of all time. Last night I was going to the grocery store to get some food for a small party. I had three other passengers including a tiny 105 lb girl, 300 lb guy, and another 240 lb guy. As I am coming back into the community a GTI revs at me and I hear a blow off valve, with the top down, and me being hungry as hell I didn’t feel like pursing it. But everybody in my car was like just go show him what’s up. So I pulled back out, got even with him, at about 45 or so, and pulled several car lenghts on him about 6-7 and he pulled into the grocery store parking lot. So I came back around and pulled in also. As I do there is a whole gang of cars there, including my one friend with a 69 SS Camaro Convertible. As I pull up I tell the guy nice race and told him I liked his car. And this other kid comes out of nowhere and asks me if my car is a v6. I said do you know anything about cars?? I said yes it’s a V6, and it runs 17’s. This guy in a 1994 or so Mustang GT comes up to me running his mouth. Saying how he will pound me, and wants to beat me for 10 bucks and keeps going on and on, saying he runs 12’s and wouldn’t tell me his mods.... I was like ok fine, made everybody get out of my car, put the top up, and the windows up and made my way out the road. I lined up with the guy from a 40 roll, and tore his *** up. It was really bad, honestly I don’t know how many bus lenghts, airplane lengths…whatever you want to call it on him, but it was horrible. I slow down, and ask the guy, do you want more or are you done now? He says lets go back. We get back and he goes I didn’t know you were going, I was like I said 3 honks, and let you get the jump on me. Plus he was a five speed from a roll, that’s a large advantage to him. I didn’t even want his money because the look on his face was priceless. He still stuck with the story that he runs 12’s, and I told him I ran a 13.9 and murdered him so he is nowhere close to 12’s. I was really nice to this guy, didn’t get smart with him while he was running my mouth, or even talk **** to him afterwards. The guy told me he had drag radials, un catted x pipe, flowmasters, intake and some other “secret” mods. I told him I hope to see him at the track sometime and left. As I get home my cell phone rings, and it was my friend in the SS and he said the guy is running his mouth again come show him again, I said no I am going to eat, and calling it a night, some people just never learn.

 

I love shutting people up. Good kills.

 

Nice kill...I hate it when people just can't lose, even if they really did. I had a guy that swore up and down this truck he had would beat me. It was a 96' S10 2wd with the 4.3. Had dual exhaust,K&N, and a couple other minor minor things. Bunch of heavy cosmetic stuff. I just couldn't get through to him how he would lose(he started it btw). I was getting so irritated cause this guy just wouldn't realize what he was up against. Not that my car is king or anything, but a basically almost stock v6 truck isn't gonna beat the Z. Fast forward to the end of the night and he and a buddy come up next to where my car was sitting and revs up and goes and does a little donut and comes back. "You sure you wanna go up against this I'm giving you an out." I just laughed, put my stuff in the car and got in telling him I'd follow him. As soon as I started the car w/ the open cutout his face went cold. It was probably one of the funniest things I had ever seen. Indescribable lol. I went to go run him and he reluctantly still agreed. We launched(actually he did) and after he was a couple cars out I went. Ran by him like he was pulling a parachute. I heard later that he was bitching about it. But in the same paragraph he both couldn't believe how fast my car was and couldn't believe how bad he got beat and basically owned up to how much his truck wasn't up to par. And also was accusing me of using Nitrous or something to have not only beaten him, but beaten him so badly. So he still couldn't convince himself he just lost. Pure comedy.

Good kill on the idiots. Reminds me of the time this moron came up to me with a Del Slow telling me he has all this internal engine work, yada yada yada, runs 12s, blah blah blah. I run him in my mid 15 second Mustang (old car at 4000' elevation) and MURDER this guy by bus lengths. Best part was this was all in front of his girlfriend. He comes back and says how his clutch is messed up, blah blah blah. I tell him to fix it and meet me at the track. Of course I never see him again. I hate these stupid morons that can't admit defeat no matter what!

 

Yeah it's always funny how problems they are having don't arize until they lose. My car is fast as hell blah blah blah....then they lose. Well my clutch sucks otherwise I would have won. Then you should have said, fast as hell.....butttt not right now cause my clutch sucks. I'd atleast give you the benefit of the doubt that way. That's when I love to tell them, well I'm running on 7cyl's right now but I didn't wanna tell you that to get sympathy. But now that we're mentioning problems, I'll just rub it in. :-)

FYI no the Z isn't running on 7cyls that I'm aware of. It does seem slower than fellow LT1's though, so it's quite possible. Mostly do to the higher mileage I bet.

 

It's okay, they really know who's car is faster. Excuses don't win races.

There was a guy at my school that had a bright yellow 01 Roush Mustang V6. He thought his car was the fastest car in the school. Anyway we all see him line up next to a 95 T-bird V8 at a light in front of the dorm and when the light turned green his car jumped ahead (his was a 5-spd) but not for long...soon the rusted out T-bird overtook him. The Roush kid was so mad, he sold his car. I would have to say he was so "owned" he had to sell his car!
