89 RS vs 07 Charger W/boltons

Dude told me the car weighed 3500 lbs, i didnt think they were that light. He has int, exh, program and headers. Was fun as **** till the second run, my clutch took a **** on me, but i still won and even made it home.

+1 for the RS

He's probably running 13.20-13.30s at best in that configuration. He could really use a new cam, either the stock 6.1 liter or one of the aftermarket options. Oh, and better valve springs too. That'd really wake up his ride.

Too bad Dodge has yet to put that engine in any vehicle behind a manual transmission (except for the 2500 series work trucks). I really like the Hemi in my truck and couldn't imagine it powering a more sporty vehicle.

I'm not worried about Chargers in my current 4 cylinder family sedan unless it's an SRT8 or has spray / FI. I've only got maybe $700 in mods too. I mod both my money pits -- er -- vehicles, equally.

Those really go that fast? After i raced him he did say about my car,"That is a 12 second car..." I told him i thought it was mid 13s maybe. I cannot believe i own so bad with a 2.73 man, cannot wait to get a gear.

You can give 'em 14.10s or so stock but the headers, exhaust, and tune really wake up that engine -- at least in the truck version it sure does. Even the intake provides a verified 10whp in the truck (some spots in the curve it's 20+) and I'd bet it's similar in the car version.

If you think about it, those 2.73s may be doing you a huge favor at this point with wheelspin. You'll accelerate better with shorter gears but you'll also have more traction problems.
