89 5.0 vs 97 z (how would i do?)
ok his mods are ported gt40 heads, 1.6 rr, 1.94/1.60 valves, gt40 intake mani, 70mm tb, 75mm maf, 24# inj, custom cai, shorties, offroad midpipe, magnaflow catback, solid motormounts, a/c delete, smog equip delete, electric fan, 3g 130a alt upgrade, ministarter upgrade, tremec 3550 trans, ram hd clutch, steeda triaxe shifter, quickrelease clutch quadrant, firewall clutch adjuster, 3.73s, walbro255 fuel pump, 5 lug conversion. I think thats it lol and cant forget trickflow stage 1 cam. mine are
short stick, 52mm tb, ngk tr55s/wires, 1le elbow, ported lt1 heads, valves 2.0/1.5, 1.6 rr, 3.73s, stage 2 spec, flywheel, magnaflow catback w cutout, high flow cat, edelbrock shorties, ported maf, ported intake, lingenfelter cold air, computer tune ran 319rwhp/338rwhp before tune and cutout, through a m6.
how does it look for me in this race? its happening next wednesday. im just curious on outcome.

Its not 1997, these cars are both modded, how well do they run and do they get Traction? drivers any good? to many variables...anything can happen..we should all know that.

But engine to engine and mod for mod, the LT-1 is twice to the Ford 5.0, what the LS is to the LT…
My 96Z, with nothing but a K&N CAI, laid WASTE to 5.0 Mustangs. They were literally, not even remotely competitive. On the street, I've never had a Mustang of any kind take us down. Now at the track, that's another story entirely. Some of those boys come to play and they play MIGHTY HARD!
But in fairness… 'modified' doesn't even begin to tell their story.
