Ok, so this dude my buddy works with says his stock irocz with a racing clutch will take my z28.... uhh and yea nothing has been touched in the engine... just clutch.... uhhh this guy has got to be kidding right? what do you think?? Its a 5 speed 88 Iroc

there are some differences between a 84 305 and a 88 305 though. There is about 35-40 hp difference i think, but late 80s are better cars. 84 has carb and 88 has f.i. I hated my 84 trans am because there was something wrong with the carb, whenever I turn the car off, it would make some embarrassing noise and rattle its a** off.
I always wondered why GM made the mistake of producing 160 hp v8 z28s and trans ams. These cars made the f-bodys look heavy,bad on gas and slow while v6 imports produced the same power with much better handling and drivability.
