hey all...kinda interesting. i just bought a 97 m6 recently and the kids at school thought it would be interesting to race me. i didnt, one's a 4cyl and the other a 6....wtf???

any way, they both wanted to race me so i made them run heads up first, winner takes me. at first i thought the sx would win, but in the end, the turbo-6 took the higher rpms. i know the vr-4's are fast, but this is just a turbo.

so, we line up and i mention a title swap to the guy and he freaks. he starts backing down so i tell him 500 bucks....he had just bought the ride recently for 700 and he said no. so we raced for free.

dude couldnt launch, and i couldnt either just having got the car. but, he was in my mirror the whole time. i changed gears at 4k and still took him. his car is stock with a recent tune, mine's got long tubes, no air/cat/egr and a 160 t-stat. what else i have no clue...a 94 pcm i know. but any way, one side of the engine has platinum plus plugs and the other has ngk's. one side has blue wires, the other has stock black wires. it's a sad story that i'll have to remedy with new headers and emissions equipment...and a serious tune.

Are you saying the 3000GT wasn't a VR4 but it had a turbo? I doubt it was either case since it wasn't a blowout vs. the 240. If it was either a VR4 or even a non-turbo 3000GT with an added turbo, it would have been no contest vs. the whopping 140-150hp Nissan.

Depends if the turbo was added aftermarket what year was the car base model ? sl? if so thats front wheel drive very hard to launch even with out turbos if its a 97 to 99 base it may even be a sohc if so looking at 170 hp stock with turbo 6 psi more like 210 less then a dohc just my 2 cents nice kill
