1 night 2 Cobras
There is always the possibility that he could be running 17 lbs without the correct tune, supporting mods,etc...
As for the charger itself, the thread starter didnt specify what blower setup he was running. Could have been a Vortech centri for all we know, even as unlikely as that would be.
My close friend, Steve Shrader of S. Perofrmance has a 2V 99 GT putting down 16 psi with a vortech and ...like JR mentoned...supporting mods to be at 640 rwhp.
Now if it is a factory eaton then I cant see it either, but that was not specified.

As for the centri's, I like the numbers I've seen on the dyno but they have never really impressed me on the street or the track. I have a buddy who let his Cobra be the R@D car for ATI when they were upgrading their Procharger kit from a P-1 to a D-1. It dynoed 680 to the wheels with something like 19 lbs of boost but the best that car could run was a low 11 at 130 mph. This was with a properly done suspension. Tweaked and tweaked that car to no avail. Sold it and bought another Cobra. Put a KB @ 19 psi and on 18" DR's that car went 10.80's at 130. There were several cars running around at that time with Prochargers but only one ended up running a number.
Starting to get away from the original topic so....good kills but always be wary of the 03/04 Cobra.
True. I've seen guys (in the early days of the Terminators) try to run 19 psi thru the Eaton and then wonder why they were dynoing the same or even less than the guys pushing 14 psi.

Blower did it's part tho - put up the numbers on the dyno. How does that affect the way it runs at the track? Sounds like a driver issue or the car didn't 60' well.
Dyno numbers actually make up very little of the performance equation. What a car makes at its peak doesn't always reveal what a car can or can't do. When we were looking the two graphs side by side the Procharger graph looked more like a mountain whereas the KB graph was alot flatter. Torque from the Procharger was only in the upper 500's whereas the KB matched the hp (620's) and peaked earlier. The problem with centrifugal blowers is that their power is all mainly up top. That coupled with a 6 speed makes it more difficult to build up boost levels at the line. As for the driver I don't think that's the problem since he won WFC 10 a couple of years ago with the KB car pulling the same 60's. Can't remember if he had on Bogarts or the 18" SSR's with DR's at that time.
Now if he converted to an auto or maybe ran a properly sized turbo instead then it would have been easier to build boost off the line. There were two other Procharged Terminators that ran around with us at the time and neither of those ran a good E.T. either. They all trapped well but ran more Supra-like numbers. All three of them has since either gone to a KB or a Whipple and have beaten their previous times with less peak power.
Now that's not to say that it can't be done. There was (or still is?) an Orange Terminator that was running well into the 9's with a Procharger and a stock style suspension but its not a street car and I think it had been converted to an auto. It was also running a cog style pulley setup on it. This was a couple of years ago and I really haven't been in that scene for about a year now.
