Doesnt look like traction will be a problem for you. If you launch good I think you'll get a jump at first, but from there on its going to be a drivers race. Everyone is going to tell you the LS1 is going to be pulling hard in those upper RPMS, so get a great launch. I think your around 13.2-13.4 with those mods. I think the 02 Z/28 with a good driver would be able to pull out those kind of numbers. Both Auto or M6? It will be close, race and lets hear the results.

I don't know man, his leather seats and Monsoon speakers might do you in.

If you ran a 13.7 with that car you can definitely drive and the mods will only help you further. Let us know what happens.

02's run exceptionally strong...id imagine if you both have a good jump he should pull you in the upper rpms

We'll it will be close man, so dont talk to much. Although I never liked the "mommy daddy bought it" mod. Lose some weight too, toss the spare, extra gas, and anything else you dont need. And put some salt bags in his trunk when he isnt looking Good luck, hope you beat him. Heat up those DR's, I think those will give you a lil head start, but keeping its going to be the hard part.

You got him definatly. If he was a M6 I'd say it would be close by if he is a stock A4 don't worry.

Re: 02 z28 vs 97z28

Just for reference I ran a 1/4 mile with a 02 Auto w/ Corsa and lid. He ran 13.5X to my 14.2 stock. I think it will be close.

But don't forget thats not stock. A lid and catback on a LSx like an 02 would net what, 10 - 15rwhp? So take those off and you got a 13.7 , .8 car.

Re: 02 z28 vs 97z28

Exactly my point, this guy could drive too, he cut very good 60's on street tires. Corsa claims at least 14rwhp with their catback alone, and have the graph to prove it. Lids are generally worth about the same as our CAI's. I think he's got a good chance its just with those magical LS1 powers, who knows what will happen. Also he cut 13.7 before the LT's, thats at least another 2 tenths if not 4.

Re: 02 z28 vs 97z28

Exactly. So short of his car not running right (rich, lean, bad opti ect) I cannot see why he would loose. Although in street races ANYTHING can happen. Good luck
