I was thinking of the Cobra's 3665 lbs. curb weight. Didn't realize the GT's were so much lighter.

I read the thread. He was asking about 2000 Mustangs, you were answering about '05s. It wasn't relevant.
2000 Mustang GT curb weight: 3386 lbs
2005 GTO curb weight: 3725 lbs
Maybe 339 pounds isn't much of a difference to you, but it is to a lot of people on this board, and it's certainly enough to affect the outcome of a drag race.
