00' SS Vs. 02' 328i

My uncle insists his stock 328i can beat my LS1 w/ lid and cutout in the 1/4 mile. If I were to race him from a stop, what would the turnout be?

the 328i makes 193hp/206ftlbs and weighs 3200lbs if I'm not mistaken. using a 1/4 mile calculator, it should finish at around 15.6 sec. when I plugged in the 333hp and 3460lbs of a 2000 m3, it came out to 13.4 sec, so the calculator is definately accurate. It won't even be close...

All I can say is OUCH! He's going to need a beer afterwards to sooth his broken BMW ego.

well, if you want to humiliate a family member, race him. if not, take him for a ride in your car and then ask him if he still wants to race.

I did, I even let him drive it...

He says my car weighs about 1000lbs more than than his and that his came with 280 HP stock.... and he can get up to 320 with a "chip".

He also says that Trans Ams weigh 400 pounds more than camaros because of the extra "stuff".

He admitted to being smoked by an M3 no contest and doesn't seem to know that LS1s run about the same as new M3s.

Heh, the SS would get more girls than a lame 3 series. BTW a 2002 Z28 weighs 3439 pounds while a 2002 t/a weighs 3499 pounds...only a 60 pound difference, far from 400.

lol, thats funny, this reminds me of a freind of mine last summer , he bought a 94 mercedes 300 something with 6 cylinder, he was telling my freinds that he would beat me no problem, until i pulled up to him one day and asked to race, he then came up with some stupid excuse that he left his drivers license at home, im like why would you need that anyways since your F****d if you get cought racing , but whatever.
