I am in the middle of doing the C5 front brake conversion on my 02 WS-6 and need to change the rear pads and was wondering if I could put the Z06 rear calipers on while I am at it to match my front Z06 Calipers. I have seen alot of posts asking weather this will work or not, but no conclusive answers.

why do you want to? if it's for actual braking force, just get better pads for the front and leave the rears alone.
as far as better brakes go, concentrate on the front brakes, that's where it's needed the most and is the most effective.

if it's for looks...paint your stock rear calipers.

 

FYI,

Autozone sells a red powder coated rebuilt rear caliper for LT1 & LS1 cars. If you just want things to match that might be an option.

I have already converted the fronts to the C5 calipers and rotors w/ Hawk HPS pads. I want them to match and I am going to be installing Hawk HPS rear pads and figured I would change the calipers while I was at it. I can get new Z06 rear calipers for less then the Autozone powdercoated rebuilds.

or I could just wait for someone to chime in with the answer to the question I originally asked. I know I can paint the rear calipers, but I want them to be powdercoated like my front calipers are.

 

No they will not work. The C5s use a larger rotors then the Fbody. Also, there'd be no advantage to the upgrade. It'd be money down the drain IMO.
