Z06 braking news!!

Just got this copied to me-
We have been going back and forth for quite a while about how we need Bob's brackets to do the Z06 conversion, but supposedly he is not making them anymore. Then there is talk about LG performance making brackets too but they are not on their site and supposedly they dont fit (have to cut the pad mounts, etc). Well, here is a site LM Performance (NOT LG) that is advertising the whole kit - BRACKET INCLUDED - for $899, $25 shipping! http://www.lmperformance.com/ Anyone know anything about these brackets? I will write LM and try to see what is up-

Supposedly they only work with the LS1 spindles and I'd assume you have to cut the caliper mounts like you do for Bob's adaptor brackets since they completely obstruct the adaptor bracket-caliper mounting and the rotor's space as well.

I understand all caliper mounts have to be trimmed for this conversion. What Im worried about is what I heard about the LG version of the bracket, supposedly the actual brake pads wont fit, you have to cut the metal backing of the pad to get them to fit, AND you have to grind down part of the CALIPER itself to get them to fit. You dont have to do these things with Bob's brackets (tentatively not being made anymore). I just want to know if you have to do these things with LM's brackets, also what they are made of, quality, can they be trusted for road racing, etc.

I just found an old post from 'texas speed' advertising an LG motorsport Z06 conversion kit packaged from "Gstop". This is also what LM is advertising, probably the same thing. Interestingly that vendor (texas-speed.com) isnt selling the kit anymore either, same as LG. Sorry to get everyone excited, must be the same problematic bracket that LG had. I wrote LM anyway to see what was up. I'll let you know what they say. Dam*it.
