Wrapped Rotors Question...??
Warped Rotors Question...??
Well i was wondering if this sounds like wrapped rotors to you and do you think its the front or the back?
I just bought some rotors for the back that were used of a 95 t/a.
Normally when its cold outside in the morning and the ABS is on and i hit the brakes the low traction like will kick on and it will kick the gas pedal back even though i'm not even touching it and the car will jump like the the wheels locked up.
Once its warmed up it wont lock up like that but when i hit the brakes it will make a pretty damn loud sqeaking sound. I figures i warped the back from since they've been through a bit of abuse (brake stands, and where the wheels locked up on a slick surface.)
Do i have to get the rotors turned before i put the other ones on? Also would it be good idea to replace the back pads since they've been on wrapped rotors?

Re: Wrapped Rotors Question...??
I think you mean "warped" rotors. Unless of course your rotors are indeed wrapped in another material.
Whether it's sqeecking or squeaking, that's not necessarily due to warping. Well sqeecking might be since I don't know what the hell that is. Then again most serfaces are referred to as surfaces.
Anyhow, warping will be felt more like a pulsating vibration in the brakes. Turning a used rotor is a good idea. Pads should be matched to a rotor as well, so once you turn the rotor, stick with the same pad.
I don't know what your problem is, but it doesn't sound like warped rotors from your description.

HAHA sorry not all here tonight. lol Fixed. S
So it doesn't sounds like warping to you? When i press on the brakes it seems like the rotors make the noise at the same point on the rotors that the brakes hit it every time. As when the rotor goes around the the brakes are applies it's normally till it hits the same spot over and over and and makes this noise..
