Will 1/2" drop with new shocks & springs hurt cornering

Stock rear shocks and springs and i have a slight rubbing problem with hard cornering. If i put Bilstein lowering springs will it be worse or better than it is now? I assume all these years and 100K miles have worn them out. The shock spring kit says it lowers about 1/2 inch. Anyone have problems or will i actually be better than before because of the stiffer ones. #70008 Bilstein shocks and #70009 Eibach springs

As a general rule, any time you lower a vehicle, install stiffer springs, and upgrade the shocks, it will most certainly corner better ... that's the whole point .

If you have anything rubbing in the back, it's quite likely due to worn out bushings in the panhard rod, which is supposed to keep the diff centered in the car. If you do go ahead and lower the car, I think you pretty much HAVE TO get an aftermarket (adjustable) panhard rod, so that might help out the rubbing issue too.

It might make your car ride a little harsher (depending on the shocks; someone here probably has experience with those exact ones, but I don't), but it's almost guaranteed that it will handle better.
