I've had them for a few years...really *don't* like them. Poor ride and rates, IMO. Another 1/4" drop wouldn't hurt either, but all these issues are my fault for not researching better. I'm running Koni SA front and 3rd gen Bilstein rear.

What makes them a poor ride? Is the rear too stiff?

ZaneO, what springs should you have gone with? Are you running LT's?

The rates are awfully stiff - front and rear. Being progressive doesn't help for proper damping, either.

At the time, I should have gone with Hotchkis. Now, I would go with the Strano springs. It really depends on your use, purpose, and goal.

with the stiff rates...is the ride just rough? or is it not very stable in turns?

i'm looking at those springs. partially due to the 1" drop to be compatible with my 3" true duals, and also to keep the BMR theme with my car.

Rough ride. Hotchkis springs also offer the 1" drop.

The rear rates are much softer for the hotchkis springs. Its hard to evaluate the fronts since theyre both progressive. Sam may have a better idea

I'm personally happy with my hotchkis springs, but keep in mind going to a stiffer spring will always make a harsher ride. Its just a tradeoff

True.

The BMR rears are no stiffer than 1le rear springs. I've ridden in and driven a 1le equiped 4th gen and liked the ride.

Did your Hotchkis set you right at 1" lower?
I'm actually wanting to get more clearance from what I have now. My car is ~1.5" lower.

I think the car dropped just a tad over 1" in the front actually. The rear is the perfect height but the front could be maybe 1/4" higher for my liking.

This was my '99 with BMR springs and Bilstein's. I'll post some other pic when I get home, this is all I have at work.
