Who Runs Without ABS?

Been thinking about deleting my ABS to make room for a future SC, but was wondering if anyone experienced problems in emergency braking situations. While I'd like to keep the ABS on for safety, I feel that the relocation process will be much too complicated and expensive. Anyone have experience with relocating in an LT1 engine bay? It all it is to reloacte it is new (modified) brake lines, this may be pretty affordable after all, and I could do it myself. But where to put that darned big beast!

I tossed my ASR crap in the trash so no ABS here. Its not a big deal to me but I dont find myself in emergency braking situations anyway. Thats what my C5 brake conversion's department anyway.

I totally forgot that the ASR works in conjunction with the ABS!

I'm not running ABS due to my Moser 9" rear. It's been this way for 40K miles and very controllable braking.

(Automated)(Anti) Slip Reduction. It senses when your tires are slipping and aplies brake pressure while reducing throttle pressure

It weighs very little and if you have it, you'll know. There's a decent size box with 2 throttle cables running in and out of it on your driver's side valve cover. Then the ASR button would be by the cig lighter. If none of that is there, congrats, I now envy you. I wish my car never had traction control.

Re: Who Runs Without ABS?

I dont have it anymore, for the same reason you want to get rid of it, needed to make room for intercooler piping. The car brakes very well, I haven't been in any real emergency braking situations with it this way, but I have done a few practice panic stops and they work very well. You can see pictures of how everything is mounted on the car domain site in my sig.
