hey everybody
can I get your opinion on what this can be??
well at low speeds I can hear a whining from the front I think pass side you can really hear it scream when you come to a stop or revesse out of the driveway..My car started doing this a month ago,I was thinking it was my hub bearing so I went and bought the whole ls1 break upgrade thinking id just upgrade since i already have to change the hub assembly...well long story short just got done doing the swap today and the freaking whine is still there ...so now I have no idea what it can be..I looked for places that tire can rub but no rubs...throw some things at me I can check...thanks you guys

Take off the belt and eliminate the A/C system and P/S pump. Both are on the passenger side. The A/C pulley bearing and the P/S pump both run all of the time.

Re: whining from the front pass side wheel??
I spent some time trying to pinpoint that damm noise I cant find it...it only does it when the car is movin..so i dont think its anything rubbing in the engine bay it has to be the suspension or wheels..is there a way to check the bearing when you take the hub off?
Re: whining from the front pass side wheel??
Jack that wheel off of the ground.
Try to shake it, if you have play in bearing you will feel it easier with the wheel on.
Then start spinning the wheel as fast as you can by hand. See if you can create the noise.
Might be the master cylinder or clogged or damaged brake line causing the brake to drag. Check the hard line under the k-member.

thanks for the suggestions...checked there is no play in the wheel,im starting to think its not the bearing..can a messed up grease fitting for the a arm or stearing leankage casue a sound?
Re: whining from the front pass side wheel??
If you have stock arms and steering, they don't have any grease fittings at all.
If you have aftermarket arms, they have been know to break and poly will squeak when it is dry.
You have changed your brakes but not you master cylinder or your lines. If they are somehow damaged they they could cause problems.
You might be hearing the noise from the rear and it shounds like the front. I would check the rear wheels out also. Sounds can fool you.
