i want to replace my camaro calipers with c5 corvette calipers, but keep the same oem rotors. i heard there are kits to do the conversion. how can i do this and is there any way to do this without spending alot of money. i will also be putting black z06 motorsport rims along with the calipers

IIRC they require a bracket because the bolt sizes are different but you won't see any benefit from running C5 rotors alone over LS1 rotors. The only other diff is the casting process and the LS1 calipers have larger pistons.

If you are after better braking get some better pads and fresh fluid. IMO C5 rotors on an otherwise stock LS1 system borders on rice.

That's not true. I'm running stock LS1 calipers with C5 rotors and there is a difference over the stock LS1 12" rotors.

There are brackets available from several sources to adapt C5 rotors to LS1 brakes. The best being Bob Bishop's brackets at about $299 (I think). I modified a set of stock LS1 caliper mount brackets to be able to mount C5 rotors using the stock LS1 calipers. C5 calipers are a bit better but are more expensive. IMHO you will never feel any difference on the street.

Re'
My bad, I typed rotors when I meant calipers. Had a BIG brain fart there.

But the guy is wanting to run C5 calipers vs. LS1 calipers on 12" rotors. He will see no difference.
