Upgraded my fronts to LS1 stuff.

Upgraded my fronts to LS1 stuff.
I know some people have had problems with the fbody ls1 calipers on autox cars but I should be fine with them. It is a vast improvement over the stock 3rd gen pieces. I have LT1 brakes on the rear and if I could get a proportioning valve for a rear disc car, I should be set.
If anybody is looking to upgrading, the LS1s are a good bet. I could have done it for less than 150 bucks total but I had to pay someone to do the machining. But pricewise, it's still a far cry from a Baer or other setup.

What parts did you need/use? I know the spindles need to be machined, LS1 rotors/pads/calipers w/ brackets, anything else? What brake lines did you use (3 or 4 gen)?

You need longer studs(I have the Dorman part number somewhere). You also need the adapter brackets that hold the caliper brackets to the spindle. I was able to reuse the stock 3rd gen lines.

I 'think' it may be because of the diameter of the part of the stud that seats into the hub not being correct.
I don't have any pics of the brackets but they are the same as the baer brackets used on our cars. I may be able to get some for you if you are interested.
