will a stock 6 speed tq arm fit an automatic car?
i had a shop locally tell me it has reinforcements and will help a auto with traction problems for the best price
along with poly bushing

Re: tq arms

the torque arms are identical from auto to manual.

they are even the same from third gens to 4th gens i think, except some of the years had the "open side" of the stamped piece that goes in the bushing facing the other way.

but as far as strenght...they are the same

Re: tq arms

The guy that said the torque arm from a manual will make the auto have better traction doesn't know what he's talking about. They are the same like teke said.

I am pretty sure a M6 stock torque arm has more reinforcement then the auto torque arm. This would be what he means, less flex from a M6 arm. But they both mount in the same location and can be swapped with no changes.
